Bon Appetit night was started by Elizabeth Newman and Amanda Thompson. The two have been close friends since their freshman year of college when they pledged TriDelta sorority. Elizabeth gave Amanda a subscription to Bon Appetit magazine and the monthly tradition was started. The challenge: to create a meal from all new recipes in our small West Los Angeles apartment kitchens. Sometimes good results and sometimes not so good we always have fun.
Elizabeth Newman is a digital media & marketing professional by day, renegade chef by night and avid triathlete & runner on the weekends. She graduated with her BA in English from UCLA. Elizabeth is currently President of the Los Angeles Spinsters.
Amanda Thompson is an online marketing professional. She has an MBA with a marketing concentration from Pepperdine and a BA in political science from UCLA. In her free time Amanda enjoys traveling, yoga, running and cooking. She is also President of the West Los Angeles TriDelta alumnae chapter.
